The Khalpurian Uprising

In the year of the scorpion (832 C.R.), from the south arose a mighty army of desert warriors. Led be a great nomad warrior, simply known as the Khal, the desert people pushed north in an attempt to conquer the fertile regions of the Plains of Darisha. The men of the bridge, led by an aging Arol, joined forces with Eron the III of Strongfast. This marked the first time, these two groups allied together. After several fierce engagements, the combine forces drove back the desert warriors into the desert. Together the two victorious armies signed a formal alliance.

To prevent an uprising of this magnitude from occurring again, they erected a large garrison. This garrison was manned by volunteers from both armies as well as liberated nomadic slaves. This garrison was to be called Khalpur or the King’s Ward in the common tongue.
